That's not true.

Wrong. Depends on the school, I suppose, but I know every school in the ABC unified school district goes to Grad Night BEFORE graduation occurrs. When I graduated back in 1998, it was actually two days before, and there were actually two people who didn't get to graduate because they snuck some alchohol on and got drunk on the bus on the way to DL, and at least one other guy who didn't graduate b/c he started a fight IN DL during the Grad Night.

I assume you meant "ABC" :)

Yeah, I went to Whitney High School....class of 1998. No, I'm not that smart. Whenever I tell someone where I went to high school and they've heard of it, they usually reply with an "Ohhhh....so you're a SMART kid, huh?". Wrong. I'm a white kid, and Whitney had quotas (anyone from the Cerritos area would understand). :)

Maybe it's different in FL then. I graduated in 99 and our grad night was before graduation too. But they only withheld walking across the stage, you still graduated if you did stupid stuff at grad night.

Everything is relative...

In the early to mid 70's, there were a bunch of guys from my old high school (Edison in Huntington Beach) who got caught throwing firecrackers inside the old Adventure through Innerspace ride (idiots - that was the best makeout ride in the park back in the day), and enough problems with people from my school that Disneyland banned my school from Grad Nights until a few years after I was out :x My little brother got to go to Grad Night at the park in 83. I don't think it's up to the school whether or not they get a diploma if they've earned it - I would think state law would overrule bad behavior. Although, if someone was bad enough, the school might be able to ban them from walking during the graduation ceremony...that happenned at my school

thank goodness, city hall is not open during grad nite. however we have sufficiant staffing for different strategic location throughout the park, like chaperon headquaters and, yes beleive it or not, this year they implemented "mickey prison" when grads do something stupid they are in jail for 2 hours before rejoyning their little friends. unbeleivable as it is, it is the chaperons who try and sweet talk us into letting the poor bloke out to go play, after all, haven't we all been 18 at some point in life....?
we do have maximum staffing for lost and found. those kids lose just about everything. it is fun to reprement them for having racial stuff on their cell fone screen or as a greeting and then not giving back the cell fone, haha!

i know you are an idiot but can you try not to be so stupid?

I think Edison may be banned again, or maybe just chose not to go. I have a friend or graduated from Edison three years ago and their grad night was not at Disney, it was like a casino night thing.

My Huntington Beach HS Grad night in '99 was at the Galaxy Theatre in Costa Mesa. Casino night thing. We were all hoping for Castle Park but that didn't happen. BTW my grad night was on the night of graduation. Hey that's tonight for the class of '04! Congrats to them!

inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
