Scary flashback

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I remember that from high school-- they used it in some of our girls' P.E. classes. I graduated in '74, so that was like a 10+ year old song then. No, I didn't listen. I don't need to.

That brings back memories I thought would never show up again. Back in elementary school, we had May Day on the first Friday of May. They had fun things to do and there was the May Pole. I always wanted to be one of the lucky few who got to weave the ribbons around the May Pole. I never got picked. What I did get picked for in the third grade was to be one of seven kids that had to learn a new dance. What!, me!, they picked me! I was so excited. I went to every practice they told me to go to and then came the big day. All of the parents were there, our friends, our neighbors. It was going to be so spectacular being in the center of attention. The song started and we started doing our dance. It turns out it wasn't really a dance, we were doing exercises. Everyone was laughing at us. I never really heard the words to the song before because I was trying so hard to learn the dance. It was humiliating….
