Think back to Mineral King but they had skiing.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Yes, but the road was a major issue at Mineral King.
The site mentioned in this article is actually ideally situated on Highway 400, just 5 minutes north of the 401, the major east west freeway in southern Ontario.
Not that I expect this to actually come to fruition. The value of the real estate where Canadas Wonderland sits is far to high for any purchaser to continue with a theme park. As housing land its worth more than 500 million, were it zoned residential.

Its fun to speculate on it though....

And I thought California was expensive! Were those American or Canadian dollars you were quoting?

Canadian of course.
In the area of Canadas Wonderland, a 3 bedroom house starts at $750,00 and goes way up from there. Its a very upscale neighborhood. The average appears to be about 1.3 million for a house. https://www.findnorthyorkregionhomes.co ... gI9OPD_BwE
Given the size of the parks acreage, that got to be room for at least 500 homes. I understand that zoning is the only reason it has not been bulldozed yet.
It is almost as landlocked as the Disneyland/ California Adventure parks.
Here it is in the map view: https://binged.it/2HRMvxE
