Re: New DLP follies...
I did a lot of fastpass work at Big thunder Mountain, but eventually came to like that position after a few weeks of initial torment. I make a point of keeping a couple of every park map in the CM booth (so that I had access to the international versions of the fastpass explanations on the map) nad ...

Re: Wonderful CMs and stupid guests at DLP last weekend
Sadly, there is a lot of that in Europe. A few countries seem to have a sort of "nastiness-switch" that they turn on whenever they go abroad to certain countries. The dutch going to france is one example - dutch people in Germany are very nice and likeable. The brittish - same thing there....

Re: Dismantle the Magic!
I really, REALLY miss the visionarium at DLP... Timekeeper and 9-Eye were such loveable characters and the whole attraction was sort of unique in that park. They removed it to accomodate Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin - a bad choice in my humble opinion since the ride would have been much more s...

LOL Nononononono! I highly doubt Rammstein would come in question for a concert at DLP! :D: :D: :D:
What Gerome was talking about was them playing in Paris - thats why they needed a cab to go to the venue. He simply booked tickets for the family through an online ticket service.

New DLP follies...
My friend Gerome works in the Events Office and got a call a while ago that went something like this: Gerome: Hello? This is the DLP Event Office! How can I help you? Guest: Yeah, Hi. Two questions; how much will the pin cost thats coming out tomorrow and how much are the tickets to the Spice Girls ...

Re: April 9th ! Official Opening of Space Mountain Mission 2 ! (Disneyland Paris)
Well, the reports from the opening of SM2 ar ein and most people I've spoken with think the rehab was well worth the wait except the ride is still very rough; the new suspension system everyone was hoping for was not in place. The new effects, however, were nothing short of spectacular. I can't wqai...

Re: Pardon, Are You Real?
Guests still come up to me somehow knowing I work there asking me questions. Heh - I can relate to that - when I was last in the parks here in Europe as a guest several CMs came up to me asking questions too!!! :p: I Think it has something to do with your tone of voice and your general wa...

Re: Standoff with Guests
I applaud you, good sir!
I've had a few situations like that one, but the manager at the time was notorious for never siding with the CMs, so we always tried our best not to call the manager unless the guest demanded it.

Re: Sometimes its not even the guests' own fault...
Yes - that really is a notion that I don't understand. People assume that just because they cannot SEE any lines that there are none and they take offense to it saying stuff like "You just don't want us to go on the ride...!"...

LOL - well, I have to say I like the DLP castle - especially the "dungeon" parts of it where the dragon rests... :)
