Re: Good Parenting (no, it's true! I saw it!)
[quote="StephM"]It still stuns me that people ask about taking young kids to V&A's and some of the other restaurants. My oldest DD is 14...I MIGHT take her to V&A's, since she is a foodie and a well behaved young lady. But people ask about toddlers....."Does V&A's have hig...

Re: Good Parenting (no, it's true! I saw it!)
I have never asked to be moved in a restaurant due to disruptive children, although I have thought pretty hard about it. But living in the Disney area means a much higher percentage of rampaging children than when I lived in Chicago. Still, that day may come...after all, back in IL (an archaic stat...

Re: How often does WDW have to call the police?
Holy crap, just read about this (my puter was down so I'm behind the times a bit) Was just wondering how often SG are so beyond control that the local cops get called in? Anyone have any good stories to share? I hate that you CM's have to put up with this kind of bullsh*t. http://www.local6.com/new...

Re: Dang...I'm a SG and I'm not even there yet
There have been multiple threads on this new resort smoking policy on another message board. Most threads have been locked but the one still alive started May 1st and is now up to 135 pages, and boy is it brutal! I guess one of the biggest complaints is a two-parter. 1) many feel WDW didn't really ...

Re: It's been one of those days you talk about for weeks
First off Big Wallaby, congrats again on getting hired, and joining the team. Speaking of Mears, you should see them flying down 192 from MCO to the parks, when they are doing DME. They are going at 85 mph down the straightaways. I once came that way after picking a friend up fromTexas, and were hea...

Re: Disney ‘fairy tale’ isn’t for everyone
wow that is so heartbreaking.. I didn't realize it was that bad on the west coast... Its just as bad in Florida. Thanks to High End Tourism, the cost of living has gone up, but pay to workers hasn't. I share a 3 bedroom, with 3 other roommates. Even with all of us combining our income, we barely ma...

Re: Huntington Beach and Disneyland, partners in crime
Is that the same project that would have linked the airport to a station on WDW property (adjacent to I-4) ? From what I read, USO was pissed because there were no plans to have a station at/near USO. I did not see any proposed routes, but I'm thinking that since it would be an elevated monorail, a...

Re: So what's the point of this contest again?
I know a couple of CMs on the Dream Squad. The ones that turn down the prizes, the most common reason when asked, is "Nothing is free. This must be a sales pitch for the Disney vaction club."  I can honestly see why people would think that, but come on. Its the castle for cryin...

Anything potentially spurring on the development of legitimate mass transit in the LA/OC area is good in my book. I'm 100% sure there is no larger metropolitan area in the world with such little mass transportation, and that's why it takes so many people an hour to go 8 miles to work. Hilssborough,...
