Re: Tigger Accused of smacking a young child.

Oh my God!

I just read the name, I know him. He was one of my coordinators before he left for entertainment. Someone said the guy on the news looked like him and I had to come in to check.

I hate this family even more now.

Re: Oops...........I Forgot To Return That!! Riiiiiiiiiight!!!

I heard stories of leads that forgot to turn in Disney equipment at the end of the day when the park was closed. Such things as keys and radios. Scheduling had to call them so they have to drive all the way back to return it because they can't open the attraction without it. Anyone had it happen to...

Re: people who get mad at breakdowns

But we can't say that we don't know and we definitely can't give them a definite time the ride will open back up again. At the Magic Kingdom we're supposed to say we don't know. Even if we actually do know, which is rare, we're not supposed to detail the information. You're permitted to be clever a...

Re: Guests that know EVERYTHING about Disneyland

Know it alls do give incorrect information, Fraggle, and we're not always at liberty to correct them. Nor are we necessarily registered or interested. But I've known of at least one case of someone I know personally getting in trouble for revealing information online. Cast members just shouldn't do ...

Re: Abbreviated Training

That's what we call the plastic thingamabobs that we put in the trolley tracks so wheels won't get stuck there. We call it "cheese" because when new it smells faintly of cheese and is the color of cheddar, and when it's old it smells strongly of horse piss and is the color of horse shit. ...

Re: Abbreviated Training

What the heck is the cheese? I probably pulled PAC 100 times in Liberty Square, Main Street must be more different than I imagined. And I was never trained on what to do when a kid runs in front of a float, but I got to handle it about 3 times. Including once when a kid and her mother ran out in fro...

Re: The Ropes, Chains, Poles, etc...... Are There For A Reason

I cannot guess how often I would say, "Please do not pass over the chains, they are there for a reason."

Annoyed the heck out of me. What, do you think we just put them up for entertainment?

Re: What you said / What they heard

This reminds me of a story told by an old-timer from Disneyland. He wasn't a Club 55 member, but he was there before 1960. He was working Casey Jr., and was walking the platform to check belts. Advising an older man with a gaggle of kids in the Monkey Cage to fasten their safety belts, the man said...
