Re: Did The Definition of the Word "Parent" Change?
Its just that if you don't make your kids behave, you get the situation described above, and various incidents. I don't want to go to someplace wonderful like DLR or WDW, and have to deal with the parental shortcomings of theirs because they can't say "NO" or make their little perfect kid...

Re: Did The Definition of the Word "Parent" Change?
So its Okay for your daughter to go kick a stranger, and/or step hard on the bare toes of a stranger, like Syndrome described? Bumping into someone in line, by a little one, is no big deal. its happened both at WDW and DLR. But to have a kid, of any age, assault an adult and not expect anything is ...

Re: Did The Definition of the Word "Parent" Change?
That kid would've had to move his ass fast if he pulled that with me because I would have kicked right back. If the "parents" (I use the term loosely) had said anything, I would have said, "I have Tourettes that is aggrevated by hostile bodily contact which causes me to lash out unco...

Re: Now, that was just uncalled for!
I'm betting he did not mean to insult Disney. I work in the entertainment industry and in fact my husband has written for Disney. When someone mentions the premise of a movie my mind automatically goes to the studio who makes the movie. Hockey mom from small town becomes president is in fact the typ...

Re: Please wear an actual shirt
Speaking of dyeing....need to do that soon. SO's I look purty for WDW in Sept. Think I will make Donnie take the monster somewhere tomorrow so I have peace to do it. I know she will be up my butt the whole time and I really hate staying up all nite while she is sleeping. GP---after I dye it you can...

Re: Please wear an actual shirt
I'm 43 and don't have enough gray hairs to start coloring it yet but I'm getting there. I remember the discovery of my first gray hair very well. I was standing in the Dumbo line with Mr. Syndrome, and he suddenly picks at my head and announces loudly, "Look! A gray hair!" Such a supporti...

Re: Please wear an actual shirt
At least you have hair. I went to high school with a guy that started going bald when he was about 14 or 15, by the time he graduated he had full blown male pattern baldness. Wierd thing is, his father wasn't bald. I bet his mother's father was. It might be an old wives tale. My father is starting ...

Re: Please wear an actual shirt
Thank you! Yep, she's mine.
It is amazing how much she has aged me though. I did not have 1 grey hair before her. Literally.
But she is SOOOO worth it.
DD5? As in DD#5 or DD 5 yrs old?

Re: Please wear an actual shirt
Okay, I'm not saying that you are wrong about her age, but please don't just assume (obviously if you saw them all the time, you are more likely to know the girl's age). I am 23 and frequently get mistaken for somebody as young as 12. I haven't grown taller (just wider) since I was in 6th grade, in...
