Re: New Presenteeism Policies...
I do not know about Califorina law, but the federal FMLA you cannot have any FMLA related absences count against you. Now Disneyland can make you prove your eligibility for FMLA, but if you have to call dependant often enough that shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Vacation time woes >=O
Boy with that kind of turnaroud time for approving vacations it's no wonder why people are quitting. If I was in your position I would just call sick for the days you are at WDW. But from what you posted it seems like your managers are not intrested in retaining any CMs, just terminating them left a...

Re: Guest Complaints
They file the complaint to appease the guests that are making the complaints. That way they think that something is being accomplished eventhough everybody just has a good laugh.

Re: Help! How many points is no call/no show?
When I was at WDW it was just 1, it counted the same as a call personal. Although a No Show would really damage your chances if you went for trainer, coordinator, or anything else.

Re: I'm married to a CM!
The entire time I lived in Orlando that was a very expensive part of town. I don't know why, but Kirkman/Metrowest is very expensive. I have a friend that is moving because his apartment complex is raising his rent $200 a month. Try looking in east Orlando off of Semoran or in the Conway area.

And of course: DO YOU WORK HERE? NO!! I won a contest that allows me to be a cast member for the day. DUH! Disney did a contest like that in the early 80's i belive. Some lady won it and got bored while at a position at the Seas and left before her bump came. She bitched at the CM the whole time too.

I've got another one: A guest asks "Is this a rollercoaster?" after they're already seated. Not only were there several signs that said this is a rollercoaster, but the track is obviously rollercoaster track! :oweye: That may have been my cousin that did that. They were driving back from ...

I also decided to check out how long it takes to drive from Cincinnati to Lexington. First Cincinnanti's airport is in Kentucky. Mapquest said that the driving time is an hour and 40 mins, so it would make sense to fly out of Cincinnanti insted of Lexington because it's about $100 cheaper. Now I kno...

Re: Your VMK Cards or Your Life?
I cannot belive that Disney puts that disclaimer on the back of their tickets, but then goes out of the way whenever a guest hits a CM. Disney is asking for a lawsuit. And I'm not saying that just because I'm an attorney. I really would love to see that suit come up though.
